I've been reading the rumors about new Chromebooks that may come with a dual-boot option. I saw this listed somewhere as an option, but again, I don't know how it works (or if it does for my purpose), or how well it works. Has anyone used it to access the desktop version of Word? Is that even possible? I'm not a techie, and I don't understand what this does. I've heard about this but I can't find out how it works, or how well it works. I've also found other inconsistencies when converting Docs to Word, so this isn't really an option for me. Many times the page length is slightly different after the conversion, which pushes pages to the next page (unacceptable in my work). I've tried this and although it's decent, the conversion of documents to Word seems buggy. Can anyone tell me if it's any different?

I hate the idea of paying $10 a month, or whatever it is, just for the mobile version of the android app (since I wouldn't be using the desktop version), but I would do it if it was better than Word Online.

In my work I use the full desktop version of Microsoft Word (I need some of their specific formatting options), but at the same time I'm desperate to get a Chromebook. Guide: Interactive Chromebook Comparison & Buyer's Guide Chart
